Why hold an AI Festival at all?
The Czech Republic has tens of thousands of people who work with AI daily, developers, analysts, product managers, marketers, entrepreneurs. However, these people are scattered. They work in companies of various sizes, in different sectors, and have varying levels of experience. And they rarely meet.
Conferences in the Czech Republic cover AI topics only marginally, as one of many subjects. Only a fraction of the community attends international events such as Web Summit, Slush or NeurIPS, because they are expensive, distant and time-consuming. The result is that a large part of knowledge, experience and opportunities for collaboration simply does not arise, people simply do not meet.
AI Festival Prague 2027 aims to change that. One day, one focus, one venue. The entire Czech AI community under one roof, for the first time.
Democratising AI knowledge
One of the principles on which we build the festival is making AI education accessible. Not only for those who can afford expensive foreign conferences or private consulting. For everyone who wants to understand and use AI.
This means that alongside expert lectures for a technical audience, the festival will feature talks and workshops for those just starting with AI, company managers, students, journalists, and public sector representatives. We want everyone to leave with something concrete they can try out or apply.
The festival's partner in the field of education is BeeSkills.czwhich runs practical AI courses and workshops for companies. Their experience of what Czech companies truly need to know about AI has shaped the festival's content from the start.
Who the festival is for
We deliberately design the festival for four main groups, and we believe that it is precisely their mixing that makes the event truly valuable:
Developers and technicians - ML engineers, data scientists, backend and frontend developers, DevOps. Those who actually build AI or integrate it into products. For them we are preparing technical lectures, workshops focused on specific tools and frameworks, and a space to discuss challenges with colleagues from abroad.
Business leaders and managers - CEOs, CDOs, CMOs, product managers, consultants. People who decide whether and how their company will deploy AI. For them, case studies, ROI discussions and lectures focused on strategic decision-making without the need for technical depth are key.
Students and academics - the future of the Czech AI scene. The festival aims to be a place where students of engineering, computer science, mathematics and related fields meet companies and startups that want them. Career opportunities, inspiration and contacts. This is what they will take away.
AI enthusiasts and early adopters - people who follow AI out of personal interest, test tools, create content about AI or use it for side projects. This group is the engine of communities and spreads knowledge further. You belong here.
What exactly you will find at the festival
Keynote lectures
The main hall will host lectures from leading Czech and international speakers. Topics: the state of AI in 2026, practical deployment in business, ethics and regulation, future outlooks. Speakers will be announced progressively, sign up for notifications via ai-festival.cz interest registration.
Hands-on workshops
This is the heart of the festival and what sets us apart from a classic conference. The workshops are practical. - you arrive, open your laptop or phone and actually try something out. Prompt engineering, building AI agents, automation with Make.com, RAG pipelines for corporate documents, AI for marketers, and more.
Workshop capacity is limited and prior booking will be required. Active collaboration on workshop preparation is underway with flylight.aia specialist in AI automation for Czech companies.
Demo floor
A large space dedicated to demonstrations, Czech AI startups, products and tools. If you are doing something interesting in the field of AI and want to showcase it, the demo floor is for you. Write to us at [email protected].
Networking and informal meetups
The most important things at conferences happen outside the lecture hall. That is why we give networking spaces due attention, coffee breaks, lunch and an afterparty (for those who stay longer). Connecting people is just as important as the content on stage.
The startup scene and investors
We are planning a part of the programme dedicated to Czech AI startups, short pitches, product presentations and meetings with investors. If you are building an AI startup and want interest, contact us. If you are an investor focused on AI, similarly.
Interest from the investment community is currently unofficial but consistent: the festival presents an interesting opportunity to see the Czech AI scene in a concentrated form at one location.
Why now?
As described in our article on The state of Czech AI in 2025The Czech AI scene is growing rapidly but lacks a central meeting place. At the same time, 2026 is critical from an AI development perspective, implementation of the EU AI Act, rapid shift from experiments to production deployments, and the first generation of AI-first companies beginning to dominate their markets.
Those who understand AI today and begin to deploy it systematically will gain a significant competitive advantage in the coming years. The festival is an opportunity to accelerate this understanding.
How to get involved
The festival takes place in January 2027 in Prague. The exact location and date will be announced soon.
The simplest way to be there: register your interest on ai-festival.czJust enter your name and email. You'll receive an email as soon as we open ticket sales and announce the programme. No spam, no obligations.
